Christopher Washington is a Central Texas–based jazz educator and performer, known for his work as Professor of Music at Southwestern University. Alongside his academic role, he performs as a member of The Ethereal Echo Jazz Band, bringing a deep foundation in jazz studies to the stage.

With a focus on ensemble precision and improvisational fluency, Washington’s playing reflects a balance of tradition and modern jazz language. Through The Ethereal Echo, he collaborates with fellow musicians to deliver performances rooted in classic jazz forms while embracing the spontaneity and energy of live performance.
