Jim Vence

Jim Vence is a Central Texas guitarist and performer best known for his work in the Austin and Hill Country gypsy jazz and swing scene. Over the years, he has performed throughout the region as both a solo artist and collaborative musician, blending jazz, swing, blues, Western swing, and acoustic roots influences into his performances.

Jim has been a featured member of the Dirty Rotten Swing Band alongside Theresa Britt and Matthew Mefford, performing throughout the Texas Hill Country since 2018. Known for his expressive guitar work and versatile playing style, he has appeared at clubs, dance halls, private events, and live music venues across Central Texas.

Whether delivering smooth rhythm guitar, fiery jazz-inspired solos, or stripped-down acoustic sets, Jim brings a relaxed, authentic Texas feel to every performance.
