The Fellowship is a dynamic ensemble known for its eclectic fusion of Jazz, Funk, Neo-Soul, Bebop, Latin, and a wide array of other musical influences. Formed in 2018 in San Marcos, Texas, the group emerged as a collaborative project driven by visionary musicians. The band’s early sound was shaped by the creative chemistry among its founding members: Gerardo Espinoza on tenor saxophone, Christopher Villanueva on piano, and Andrew Harkey on bass. Together with Joshua Alderete’s energetic and expressive drumming, they forged a cohesive unit grounded in the spirit of collaboration and unity.
Since its inception, The Fellowship has captivated audiences with its innovative sound, fostering a sense of community and shared passion for jazz throughout Texas and beyond. In 2020, the group relocated to San Antonio, Texas, where they continued to grow and deepen their impact on the local music scene.
