Trevor Gonzalez Trio

Trevor Gonzalez is a San Marcos–based saxophonist currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Jazz Performance at Texas State University under the mentorship of Professor Joel Frahm. He previously earned his Bachelor’s degree from the same institution, continuing to refine a voice that is both technically grounded and deeply expressive.

Musically versatile and stylistically fluid, Trevor draws from a broad spectrum of traditions. He performs regularly throughout Central Texas, appearing with second line ensembles, blues bands, and leading his own jazz groups. His playing has been featured at Love Supreme Pizza Bar, Monks Jazz Club, and other respected venues across the greater Austin area.

For Trevor, music is never merely background sound. It is a vehicle for intensity, emotion, and genuine connection. Whether performing live or recording in the studio, he brings focus, energy, and a compelling presence to every setting.

He is currently performing in a trio format alongside bassist Mercedes Solis and drummer Mati Soto.
