SUMMARY:Troy Kaufman Jazz Quartet
DESCRIPTION:A native of Southeast Texas\, Troy Kaufman (b. 1998) is already an accomplished saxophonist\, arranger\, and music educator. \n  \nHis positive experiences with music from a young age led him to study Music Education at Lamar University\, and later earn a  Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance from Texas State University.  \n  \nTroy has enjoyed performing as a freelance saxophonist in the Greater Austin and Golden-Triangle areas as a member of various big bands\, jazz combos\, salsa groups\, and pop/rock/contemporary ensembles. His experiences in music have also allowed him to travel all throughout the United States and Europe performing with various groups.  \n  \nAs a music educator\, Troy loves helping passionate students learn and grow as musicians and people. He has taught individual private lessons to students from beginner through collegiate-level. As a full time band director in central Texas\, Mr. Kaufman has experience leading all aspects of a band program. The students he has taught have made many musical achievements\, including earning membership in the Texas UIL All-Region and All-State bands\, and have earned scholarship to college based on their musical proficiency.  His jazz bands have won multiple outstanding performance and outstanding soloist awards.
