DESCRIPTION:Formed in 2018 in San Marcos\, Texas\, The Fellowship is a dynamic ensemble born from the creative collaboration of tenor saxophonist Gerardo Espinoza\, pianist Christopher Villanueva\, and bassist Andrew Harkey. With drummer Joshua Alderete driving their rhythmic core\, the group quickly found its distinct voice: an eclectic fusion of jazz\, funk\, neo-soul\, bebop\, Latin grooves—and everything in between. \nTheir sound reflects both deep tradition and forward-thinking exploration. United by the spirit of collaboration and community\, The Fellowship draws on each member’s diverse influences to craft music that is both soulful and adventurous. \nIn 2020 the group relocated to San Antonio\, Texas\, where they immersed themselves in the region’s vibrant jazz scene. Since then\, the band has continued to grow\, deepen its sound\, and captivate audiences across Texas and beyond.
