That influence shows in his own writing\, where honest lyrics\, lived-in melodies\, and road-worn charm take center stage. \n“I feel like my music is American roots music all lumped together with a little of this and a little of that\,” Jake says. “That’s why I’ve always leaned toward calling it Americana.
