SUMMARY:Joshua Alderete & The Fellowship
DESCRIPTION:Joshua Alderete is a drummer\, bandleader\, and full-time musician whose sound is rooted in deep groove\, collaboration\, and the living language of jazz. Originally from Pasadena\, Texas\, Joshua has spent more than 15 years refining his craft and over a decade performing across the rich musical landscape of Texas. \nHe is a founding member of The Fellowship\, a dynamic ensemble formed in San Marcos in 2018 and built on the creative chemistry of Gerardo Espinoza on tenor saxophone\, Christopher Villanueva on piano\, Andrew Harkey on bass\, and Joshua’s expressive\, driving work behind the drums. Blending jazz\, funk\, neo-soul\, bebop\, Latin rhythms\, and other soulful influences\, The Fellowship creates music that feels both sophisticated and alive\, a conversation between tradition and fresh energy. \nAfter relocating to San Antonio in 2020 and later expanding his musical reach into Austin\, Joshua has continued to grow The Fellowship into a collective of talented jazz artists united by passion\, musicianship\, and shared purpose. More than a band\, The Fellowship is a musical community\, one built on connection\, improvisation\, and the belief that music can bring people together across backgrounds and generations. \nWith Joshua Alderete at the helm\, The Fellowship delivers a sound that is vibrant\, soulful\, and deeply rooted in the spirit of jazz. Their performances invite audiences into something more than a show: a shared experience of rhythm\, unity\, and musical joy.

SUMMARY:Dave Lee Quartet
DESCRIPTION:Dave Lee (Trumpet) has been an active part of the Austin music scene since moving from the Pacific Northwest in 2001. A versatile freelance musician\, Dave performs regularly with NAJO\, Mainstream Jazz (his own big band and combo)\, the Ken Ragsdale Orchestra\, and various jazz and pop ensembles across Austin\, Houston\, and surrounding areas. \nIn addition to performing\, Dave teaches private trumpet lessons in the Pflugerville and Round Rock school districts and brings over 40 years of experience in music ministry. He currently offers “Jazz Worship” services for churches throughout Texas\, blending his passion for faith and jazz in a unique musical experience. \nDave is no stranger to the stage—or below it—having played in the pit for more than 60 musical theater productions at the Georgetown Palace Theater and Austin’s Zach Theater. Every summer\, he shares his expertise as a faculty member at the Texas Jazz and Blues Camp. \nAnd while his musical résumé is impressive\, Dave’s proudest (and possibly most delicious) achievement remains winning the enchilada/taco eating contest during his college band tour.
