DESCRIPTION:Keith Fiala is a master LA-based jazz trumpeter\, composer/arranger\, author\, producer\, technical consultant\, and clinician. \nHe’s been a featured member of the legendary Maynard Ferguson Band\, as well as with Maestro Arturo Sandoval’s various ensembles. \nFormerly\, Arturo’s assistant\, Fiala was an active\, integral part of and participant in Sandoval’s recordings\, live performances\, and film scoring/soundtrack efforts. \nHe’s authored celebrated trumpet books\, including “About Face” and “Secrets to Efficient Brass Playing.” \nFiala is a former faculty member and performer at Temple Junior College in Temple\, Texas. \nHe is a student of Ray Crisara\, “Pops” McLaughlin\, and Arturo Sandoval.

DESCRIPTION:Originally from Houston\, Aidan Berg is a 21-year-old bassist in his third year at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a degree in jazz bass performance. At the Butler School of Music\, studying under John Fremgen\, he has contributed arrangements and is an active member of the UT Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Diego Rivera. This summer\, he was invited to the inaugural Jazz Aspen Snowmass Afro-Caribbean Big Band\, led by artistic director Etienne Charles. As a sideman\, he has performed with the Mike Sailors Nonet\, Diego Rivera Octet\, NOW Jazz Orchestra\, and among other engagements. As a bandleader\, Aidan leads a trio that has curated two shows at Monks Jazz Club focusing on the music of bassist Ray Brown. A positive force on and off the bandstand\, Aidan seeks to uplift and honor the rich tradition of jazz music.

Over the last 12 years\, he has immersed himself in the rich musical landscape of the Southwest Texas Area\, where he serves as a full time musician. \n  \nJoshua finds great fulfillment as a founding member of The Fellowship\, a band celebrated for its fusion of Jazz\, Funk\, Neo Soul\, Bebop\, Latin and many\, more influences. In 2018\, The Fellowship was formed in San Marcos\, Texas. The ensemble flourished\, as a collective project led by visionary musicians. The band’s beginning was marked by the creative synergy of its founding members: Gerardo Espinoza on Tenor Saxophone\, Christopher Villanueva on Piano\, and Andrew Harkey on Bass. Together with Joshua Alderete’s dynamic drumming\, they form a cohesive musical unit that embodies the spirit of collaboration and unity. Through their collective talents\, The Fellowship continues to inspire audiences\, fostering a sense of community and shared passion for jazz music across Texas and beyond. In 2020\, the band relocated to San Antonio\, Texas\, expanding its reach and influence within the local music scene. In 2022\, Joshua moved to the bustling city of Austin\, TX. This ensemble is comprised of many\, talented Jazz artists that share the same passion and drive\, for the art.
